Studio international
An illustrated British art periodical begun in London in 1893, issued for artists, designers, craftworkers and collectors and filled with reproductions of contemporary painting, printmaking, architecture and applied design. The plates shown are etchings and drypoints — a shadowed studio interior scribbled in dense diagonal hatching, a long country house in thin outline, a crowded stone bridge and a canal-side facade — offering ready-made tonal texture, loose line work and townscape and building views.
