The study of the velocity of electrons in the photo-electric effect, as a function of the wave-lengths of the light
A 1912 doctoral thesis by David William Cornelius at the University of Illinois, measuring electron velocities in the photoelectric effect against light wavelength, produced for physics examiners. Nineteen hand-inked plates plot points and smooth curves in dark ink on pale ruled graph paper, with hand-lettered axis labels in volts and wavelengths; usable as line-graph texture, scientific lettering, and grid backgrounds.
