Suggestions for the architectural improvement of the western part of London
An architect's proposal for rebuilding parts of west London, written by Sydney Smirke and issued in London by Priestley and Weale in 1834 for planners, officials and fellow architects. Etched views show terraces, riverside embankments and a Gothic church behind trees drawn in loose foliage strokes, alongside a folding street plan washed in pink and grey showing proposed improvements against existing blocks.
