A subscribers' bibliography of Gloucestershire and Bristol biography, compiled by Francis Adams Hyett with William Bazeley and Roland Austin and printed by John Bellows at Gloucester in 1915 for local antiquaries and collectors. The plates are photogravure reproductions of painted and engraved portraits, from a booted Stuart cavalier with cane to an armoured seventeenth-century sitter in lace cravat, a preaching divine in gown and bands, and a young Regency gentleman reading beside a writing table, useful for soft-toned monochrome figure studies and period costume detail.
