Volumes of the Surrey Archaeological Society's county antiquities journal, issued in London from 1854 for members and local historians recording churches, manor houses and monuments. Plates mix line drawings of doors, tracery and measured architectural plans with rubbings of monumental brasses reproduced as stark white-on-black figures of kneeling knights, wives and children in heraldic dress.
