Ashbee for the Committee for the Survey of the Memorials of Greater London and published with the London County Council in 1900, recording the buildings of the parish of Bromley-by-Bow for antiquarians, architects and preservationists. Wash drawings and pen sketches show brick houses, walled street corners and bare trees, alongside ruled measured sections annotated with lettered notes on fireplaces and panelling, useful for architectural line work, hand-lettered plan labels and grey-toned street views.
