Swedish recreative exercises for school and playground
A 1911 London manual by Grace A. McMillan, published by McDougall's Educational Company, setting out Swedish-system games and gymnastic drills for schoolteachers and playground instructors. The plates here are engraved music: short two-stave piano accompaniments in treble and bass clefs, with 2/4 and key signatures, tempo headings such as "Allegro moderato," repeat barlines and beamed eighth-note runs, usable as period notation ornament, borders, or texture.
