Symbolism of the East and West
A comparative study of religious and folk symbolism across Asia and Europe by Harriet Murray-Aynsley, with an introduction by Sir George Birdwood, published in London by G. Redway in 1900 for antiquarians and folklore readers. The plates are stippled line drawings of standing stones, menhirs, carved crosses, swastikas and sun and crescent marks, useful as isolated silhouettes and small repeatable sign motifs.
