A surveying and mathematics textbook by Abel Flint, revised with George Gillet and Frederick A. P. Barnard, published in Hartford in 1830 for students and practicing land surveyors. The woodcuts are lettered field plots and geometric figures in heavy black outline with dashed diagonals, compass needles and arcs, useful as diagram vocabulary, abstract polygon shapes, and letter-and-line texture.
