A trade periodical of the telegraph industry, issued in New York from 1864 by the National Telegraphic Union for operators, line builders and electricians. The plates are wood-engraved mastheads and technical cuts: lettering framed by telegraph poles and radiating wires, landscapes strung with lines, keys, relays and battery diagrams — useful for period display type and electrical apparatus motifs.
