An 1837 London treatise on church architecture by the architect William Bardwell, printed for the author and aimed at clergy, builders and antiquarian readers debating how new churches should be designed. The plates mix engraved floor plans keyed by letter to altar, vestry and baptistery with fine lithographic studies of vaults, arches and masonry courses, usable as line diagrams, lettered keys and soft grey architectural detail.
