Test of a De Laval turbo-pump
An undergraduate engineering thesis of 1906 by Alfred Rittscher Bench and Louis Paul Robert, submitted at the University of Illinois, reporting tests of a De Laval turbine-driven pump for readers in mechanical and heating-plant practice. The plates are hand-drawn performance curves inked over printed yellow-green graph grids, with plotted circles, ruled axes labelled total lift, gallons per minute and water horsepower, and captions in careful draughtsman's script — usable as period grid textures, chart furniture and hand lettering.
