Tests of an Otto suction gas producer and gas engine
A 1906 engineering thesis by Robert Norman Macalister and Harry George Dallas Nutting, submitted at the University of Illinois, reporting tests on an Otto suction gas producer coupled to a gas engine. Mounted sepia photographs show the plant in a laboratory shop — flywheels, vertical air-pressure tanks, heaters, gas meters and pipe runs, each component lettered by hand — alongside a line-drawn elevation diagram of the whole installation, useful for machine-hall textures, labelled apparatus and captioned plate layouts.
