A technical manual on ornamental design for woven fabrics by Charles Stephenson and F. Suddards, published in London and Philadelphia in 1897 for textile design students and mill draughtsmen. The plates give black-and-white repeat patterns — stylised flowers, leaves, scrolling stems — many drawn over squared point-paper grids that show how a motif is set out and tiled.
