Textile fabrics
A descriptive catalogue of the South Kensington Museum's textile collection written by Daniel Rock for Britain's Education Department and issued in New York in 1876 for students, curators and manufacturers. Wood-engraved plates record embroidered orphreys, dalmatics and copes, medieval figure scenes set in roundels of scrolling foliage, and repeating damask and vine patterns, all in clean outline suited to tracing, pattern repeats and border stock.
