A Latin–German emblem book on death printed at Ljubljana in 1682 for Johann Weichard Valvasor, with plates drawn by Johannes Koch and engraved by Andreas Trost, issued in three parts: a dance of death, kinds of dying, and the torments of the damned. Each engraving sits in a dense border of flowers, birds, insects, fruit and shells, framing skeletons dragging off the living, demons, flames and landscape deathbeds.
