A Latin alchemical treatise of 1671, Theodor Kerckring's commentary on Basil Valentine's Triumphal Chariot of Antimony, printed in Amsterdam by Andreas Frisius with plates attributed to Romeyn de Hooghe, addressed to physicians and adepts. Small engraved figures show stills, retorts, alembics and brick furnaces in fine hatching, keyed with letters, useful as laboratory-vessel silhouettes and diagram lettering.
