A technical manual on silk weave construction, drafting and fabric calculation, written by Arnold Wolfensberger and published by the American Silk Journal Co. in New York in 1896 for mill designers and weavers. The plates are point-paper weave diagrams: ruled grids filled with black and orange squares forming twills, diagonals, checks and repeat blocks, usable as modular pattern fields.
