Things worth doing and how to do them
An activity and handicraft manual by Lina and Adelia Beard, published by Scribner's in New York in 1906 with instructions for girls making toys, costumes, decorations and games at home. The 499 figures are unshaded pen-and-ink diagrams: folded paper and cloth shown flat with dashed fold and stitch lines, cut patterns, knots, a leaf drawn in plain outline, useful as instructional line vocabulary, dotted-line notation and flat-pattern templates.
