Tilton and Co., giving instructions for three hundred handmade articles for gifts and charity fairs, aimed at American women who sewed and embroidered at home. The wood engravings show finished objects in dense black hatching uffled work bags, drawstring purses, ribbon bows, embroidered sprays and beaded fringe eady to lift as isolated silhouettes, texture studies, or small decorative spot images.
