Through the Grand Canyon from Wyoming to Mexico
A 1914 Macmillan travel narrative by brothers Ellsworth and Emory Kolb, Grand Canyon photographers who rowed the Green and Colorado rivers from Wyoming to Mexico and sold the account to a general American readership. The 63 halftone plates are their own copyrighted river photographs: stratified canyon walls, rapids and falls in white spray, cliff dwellings, and small boats and camps dwarfed by rock.
