Tin can toys and how to make them
A 1916 instruction manual by Carrie Williams, published in St. Louis, showing home and classroom craftworkers how to cut and assemble toys from discarded tin cans. The 57 plates are flat-lay photographs of cut strips, folded boxes, wire hooks and finished parts arranged on rumpled cloth, useful for hard-shadow still life, exploded-parts layouts and silhouettes of simple geometric components.
