Tops, a new American industry; a study in the development of the American worsted manufacture. The Arlington mills
A company account of worsted-top manufacture issued by the Arlington Mills in 1898 and printed at the Riverside Press in Cambridge, aimed at the wool trade and investors. Halftone views of mill buildings and machinery alternate with pen-drawn chapter ornaments — symmetrical scrollwork, ram's-head masks, and foliate tailpieces — usable as dividers, spot decoration, and industrial reference.
