Tractatus de stylometris, sive, Instrumentis quibus quinque ordines architecturae methodo quâ facilior inveniri nequit ...

Goldmann, Nikolaus, 1611-1665 · 1662 · Lugduni Batavorum : Apud autorem · 32 pictures

A Latin treatise by Nikolaus Goldmann, printed by the author at Leiden in 1662, setting out measuring instruments for laying out the five classical orders for architects, masons and drawing students. The plates are thin-line engravings of column bases and shafts in paired elevation and plan, headed BASIS, with dotted construction lines, numbered scale ladders and radial fans of rays; useful as geometric line diagrams, circular division schemes and measured profile outlines.
