The tradesmans book of ornamental designs
A pattern book of ornament engraved for working craftsmen, compiled by Samuel Leith and issued by W.S. Orr in London in 1847. The plates give symmetrical acanthus scrollwork, strapwork panels, flower swags, grotesque masks and small birds in fine line, drawn for transfer into painted, carved or cast work and usable as borders, frames and repeats.
