Traité de l'horlogerie, méchanique et pratique : approuvé par l'Academie royale des sciences
A two-volume technical treatise on clock and watch making by Parisian master horologist Antoine Thiout, engraved by Guillaume d'Heulland and published in Paris in 1741 for practising clockmakers and the Académie royale des sciences. The 105 copperplate figures show toothed wheels, escapements, weight-driven movements and lathes in elevation and section, keyed with letters and framed by ruled borders, supplying precise gear profiles and mechanical diagrams for reuse.
