Traité de mécanique céleste
A French treatise on celestial mechanics by astronomer François Tisserand, published in Paris by Gauthier-Villars et fils in 1889 for mathematicians and working astronomers studying perturbation and lunar theory. The plates here are letterpress mathematics rather than scenes: displayed differential equations, bracketed systems, numbered formulas and fragments of French text, useful as period type specimens or typographic texture.
