Traité historique, et moral, du blason : ouvrage rempli de recherches curieuses & instructives, sur l'origine & les progrès de cet art
A French-language historical and moral treatise on heraldry by Jean Baptiste Dupuy-Demportes, printed in 1754 by Jean Neaulme in Amsterdam and Berlin for gentlemen and students of coats of arms, later owned by John Adams. The scanned plates here are the binding's marbled endpapers: combed snail and curl patterns in brick red, ochre, and teal on cream, usable as tiling textures, cover grounds, or scanned-paper backgrounds.
