Transactions
Transactions of the American Microscopical Society, a research journal issued from 1879 in Columbus, Ohio, carrying papers and plates by American microscopists for fellow specialists and natural-history societies. The plates are pen-and-ink dissection drawings of small crustaceans and insects, numbered figures of legs, antennae, mouthparts and body segments crowded on a blank page, with fine hair-like setae and stippled clusters of cells; usable as outline specimen silhouettes, hatching textures, and numbered-figure page layouts.
