Transactions of the Shropshire Archaeological and Natural History Society
An 1884 volume of the Transactions of the Shropshire Archaeological and Natural History Society, published in Shrewsbury for members recording local antiquities, excavations and natural history. The plates reproduce engraved facsimiles of mayors' and burgesses' autograph signatures with flourished paraphs, alongside a pale line plan of a town centre showing streets, a river crossing and a scale bar — useful for handwriting specimens, period penmanship flourishes and simple cartographic linework.
