Leonardo da Vinci's treatise on painting in an Italian edition printed in Florence in 1792 by Pagani and Graziole, aimed at painters and drawing students. Fine etched line figures sit in the margins and between text: nude men in motion, profile heads with sightlines, ruled perspective grids and radiating measurement diagrams, usable as sparse geometric line art.
