Travellers' guide, New York

1883 · [New York] : A.S. Lehmaier, manager · 71 pictures

A traveller's guide to New York City issued in 1883 by A. S. Lehmaier for visitors and businessmen arriving in the city. The plates are line engravings of commercial blocks, banks and office towers drawn in sharp three-quarter perspective, with rows of repeated windows, cornices, awnings and painted shopfront signs, useful for architectural line stock, street-level signage lettering and repeating facade patterns.
