A treatise on the art of weaving, illustrated by engravings. With calculations and tables for the use of manufacturers
A technical manual on handloom weaving by John Murphy, published in Glasgow in 1827 with engravings, calculations and tables for textile manufacturers. The plates are point-paper weave diagrams: ruled grids filled with zeros and blanks, numbered warp and weft margins, and lettered columns, giving designers ready-made modular grid patterns and notation marks.
