A treatise on astronomy, descriptive, physical and practical. Designed for schools, colleges, and private students
Horatio N. Robinson's 1849 astronomy textbook, published in Albany, New York, for schools, colleges, and self-taught students. The 77 figures are line diagrams printed with the text: celestial spheres crossed by lettered arcs, ellipses with orbital radii drawn to a focus, and small geometric constructions of angles and shadows, usable as spare circular and elliptical schematics with italic letter labels.
