A treatise on surveying : containing the theory and practice
A textbook of surveying and plane trigonometry by the Pennsylvania teacher John Gummere, published in Philadelphia by Kimber & Sharpless in 1832 for students and working surveyors. The plates are dense grids of numbered line diagrams — triangles, quadrilaterals, circles with inscribed figures, offset traverses and field plots — drawn in thin ink with lettered vertices on foxed paper, useful as spare geometric line stock, page-grid layouts, or ready-made technical ornament.
