Trees and how to paint them in watercolours
A drawing manual by the English landscape painter W. H. J. Boot, issued by Cassell in London in 1883 for amateur and student watercolourists learning to render foliage. Its plates are chromolithographed studies of single trees and branches—oak, willow, birch—set against bare paper with loose washes of green and grey, useful as isolated tree silhouettes, foliage textures, and limited-palette colour references.
