A group of twenty-four paintings of the French, Spanish, German and American schools selected from the Cottier Gallery
A 1908 dealer's catalogue from New York's Cottier Gallery, printed by the Chasmar-Winchell Press, presenting twenty-four paintings of the French, Spanish, German and American schools to collectors and the trade. The plates are soft halftone reproductions of oil paintings: wooded landscapes with figures under heavy foliage, farm buildings in dim open country, and a mythological scene of gods among clouds, useful for gradient skies, silhouetted tree masses, and hazy tonal backgrounds.
