Two gentlemen in Touraine
A travel account of the château country of Touraine by Charles Gibson, published in Chicago and New York by Herbert S. Stone in 1899 for American readers touring France. The plates reproduced here are decorative endpapers and border strips printed in green on cream, repeating outlined fleurs-de-lis and open crowns in staggered rows, usable as seamless tiling patterns, page borders, or heraldic spot ornaments.
