A one-volume American reprint of John Ruskin's art and architecture lectures — The Two Paths, Love's Meinie, Val d'Arno, Mornings in Florence and others — issued by the Aldine Book Publishing Company of Boston for general readers and art students. Plates are sepia halftones of Italian Gothic relief sculpture, chiefly Pisano pulpit panels of the Nativity and saints' lives, set against sparse ink diagrams of feather vanes and leaf profiles; useful for crowded figure groups, carved border strips and simple outline studies.
