A scholarly biography of the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe by J. L. E. Dreyer, published in Edinburgh by Adam & Charles Black in 1890 for astronomers and historians of science. Illustrations are reproductions of sixteenth-century engravings — the domed observatory Uraniborg with its turrets and lettered banners, sextants and mural quadrants — usable as line-engraved architecture and early instrument diagrams.
