Typicus hieropolitarcha, in antitypo expressus, anno Christi eodem : quo Theodorus Adolphus Paderbornensis Antistes XXXXVI a suis rite inauguratus ista sua exhibebat insignia
A Latin emblem book printed by Johann Ulrich Huber at Paderborn in 1651 to mark the inauguration of Theodor Adolf, forty-sixth bishop of Paderborn, addressed to a clerical and learned readership. The plates in the index are woodcut ornament: square initial blocks filled with scrolling foliage and strapwork on black grounds, plus typographic border strips and corner pieces built from repeated cast units, usable as drop caps, rules, and frame elements.
