UNCLE WIGGILY' S EMPTY WATCH-Bk21- - By HOWARD GARIS GUNSTON CLASSICS
Howard Garis's Uncle Wiggily bedtime stories, issued in 1919 as a Gunston Classics picture book for young children, each page pairing a numbered paragraph with a color plate. The drawings show a rabbit in top hat and blue coat among weasels, ducks and crickets in flat woodland landscapes, with clean outlines, limited color and generous white space useful for character and caption layouts.
