The University Prints. Student series D. Art of the Netherlands and Germany; five hundred reproductions illustrating the Flemish, Dutch, and German schools of painting, from the early fifteenth to the eighteenth century; German sculpture from the eleventh to the seventeenth century
A teaching portfolio of 500 halftone reproductions of Flemish, Dutch, and German painting and German sculpture, edited by Harry and Mary Powers and issued in 1907 by the Bureau of University Travel in Boston for college art-history students. The plates are small, dark, high-contrast photographs of altarpieces, group portraits, interiors, and carved figures, useful for silhouettes of crowded figure groups, drapery patterns, and grainy monochrome texture.
