Up in a flying machine
A popular song sheet of 1902, composed by P. Campbell and issued by Jos. J. Kaiser Music Co. of New York with a cover by the Starmer brothers, sold to parlour pianists during the airship craze around Alberto Santos-Dumont. The scans are mostly engraved piano-vocal staves on browned, creased paper, with lyrics about sailing through clouds set in hyphenated syllables, plus copyright lines and plate-numbered footers useful as period typographic and texture material.
