A 1919 knitting and crochet instruction manual by Elsa Schappel Barsaloux, issued in New York by the makers of Utopia yarns to sell wool to home needleworkers. The plates are halftone studio photographs of women modelling sweaters, sport coats, caps and scarves against plain backdrops, useful for period garment silhouettes, stitch-texture detail and soft-focus figure cutouts.
