Vasa a se inventa atq. stvdii cavsa delin. et incisa
A suite of etchings by the French sculptor Jacques François Joseph Saly, published in 1746, showing ornamental vases he designed, drew and cut himself for sculptors, silversmiths and other ornament practitioners. Each plate centres one vase on a low plinth against blank or lightly hatched ground, built from fluted bowls, scrolled handles, masks, putti, garlands and drapery in fine etched line, giving designers isolated silhouettes and a vocabulary of Rococo ornament parts.
