Velasquez
A short biographical essay on Diego Velázquez by Elbert Hubbard, hand-printed in 1902 by the Roycrofters at East Aurora, New York, for subscribers to their Little Journeys series of artist and author lives. The plates are Arts and Crafts ornament in the Roycroft manner: line-drawn interlacing scroll headpieces and tailpieces that taper to a point, plus initial letters painted in yellow, orange and pale blue on black with gold borders, usable as chapter openers, borders and decorative rules.
