Venice and Venetia
A traveller's account of Venice and the Venetian mainland written by Edward Hutton and published by Methuen in London in 1911 for English-speaking visitors interested in Italian art and topography. The plates are halftone reproductions of Renaissance and eighteenth-century Venetian paintings and frescoes, some printed sideways across the page, plus soft colour-process views of brick courtyards and Gothic loggias, useful for crowd and procession groupings, framing archways, and muted architectural colour.
