A Dutch translation of Sébastien Le Clerc's treatise on architecture, printed in Amsterdam in 1781 for builders, surveyors and drawing students who needed the classical orders set out as measured rules. The 184 plates are fine outline engravings of Tuscan, Doric and other columns, arcades, pedestals and entablatures, shown in elevation with plan sections below and dimension figures throughout, useful for column silhouettes, modular grids and hairline architectural linework.
