Verne - Keraban Le Tetu
Jules Verne's 1883 adventure novel Kéraban-le-Têtu, a journey around the Black Sea issued in Paris by Hetzel with wood-engraved plates by Léon Benett for the family reading series. The plates are dense black-and-white engravings — a woman seated on a balustraded terrace above a bay, a lateen-rigged boat offshore, foliage framing the edge — plus an oval halftone portrait of Verne, useful for coastal scenery, rigging detail, and vignette framing.
